Welcome to the

sunny South of South Tyrol

Region of sun and wine

Dear guests!
We are finally open again: As of today, June 4th, our gates in the sunny south are open once more. We are very much looking forward to your visit! New: smart check-in & check-out and a spacious new tent area for all bicycle travelers!

Our campground lies nestled in a lush fruit orchard in the southernmost region of South Tyrol.

The historical wine village of Cortaccia, the sunny balcony of the Alto Adige Wine Road, boasting 300 days of sun a year,

thrones above a hilly landscape of vineyards with true southern flair.

The Mediterranean climate rewards us with cypresses, oleanders, and fruit and olive trees.

 Our camping site

  •  21 well-maintained gravel pitches with water, waste water connection, and 6A electricity
  • Spacious tent area for bicycle travelers
  • Convenient and fast self-check-in & check-out
  • Comfortable sanitary facilities equipped with washing machine and dryer
  • Accessible barrier-free bathroom and baby changing table
  • Herb garden available for our guests
  • Free Wi-Fi access on all pitches
  • Camper disposal/service station
  • Bus stop located right at the campsite entrance
  • Ideal stopover: located just 7 km from the A22 highway exit Auer/Neumarkt

In the spring, various bushes and uncountable numbers of daffodils and tulips transform our campground into a beautiful sea of flowers. Leafy trees and ornamental bushes give shade in the summer and enliven the fall days with unique bursts of color.

 Sanitary facilities

Comfortable, heated, wheelchair accessible sanitary facilities

with a baby changing station.

A  dishwashing room, a washer and dryer, ironing board and laundry stands are all part of our amenities.

Staying active in the South of South Tyrol

A place to begin many personal adventures: biking, mountain biking, hiking, climbing, swimming, paragliding – it’s up to you!

    - Through vine landscapes by bike

    - Mountain-biking in the surroundings of Cortaccia

    - Hiking from the end of March to the beginning of November

    - The mild mediterraneanlike climate makes the water warm enough to swim from May to October

    - Rock climbing walls, via ferratas and mountain peaks get you going on the vertical.

Near us in the South of South Tyrol, we have four via ferratas at various levels of difficulty.

The climbing gardens in Cortaccia are also popular spots in our mild climate.

    - Family tip: a true adventure for adults and childrens  is the rope course from

tree to tree in the Altenburger forest in Caldaro.

Ideal as a stopover for cyclists as it is only 2 km from the Etsch cycle path!

Tips and tour suggestions can be found at the reception desk.

Bike maps and hiking maps for hire.

Food and drink at a stone’s throw

Whether local or Mediterranean cuisine, South Tyrolean restaurants and their wine cellars in the southernmost region of South Tyrol have many delicacies to offer.

  • In nearby Restaurant/Pizzeria Fischerhof, delicious pizzas and local or Mediterranean fare are served and "take away".
  • If you would prefer to dine in a rustic cellar or surrounded by vineyards, the Weingut Gruber wine tavern                                             (5 min. on foot) is our recommendation.
  • The castle gardens of Castel Tiefenbrunner Turmhof (20 minutes on foot) are the perfect surrounding for a typical plate of South Tyrolean cold cuts and cheese with excellent wines.  And, of course, there are many more recommendable places in Cortaccia and surroundings to stop for a bite to eat.
  • At our kiosk, you will find necessary items of all kinds, along with regional products. Beverages are also available, including the well-loved natural South Tyrolean apple and grape juices. Of course, a great variety of wines from Cantina Kurtatsch is a standard part of our assortment:

Famers’ markets

South Tyrol is also home to high quality natural products. Local, seasonal farm products still follow nature’s cycle from spring’s herbs to summer’s honey, fall’s fruits and winter’s cured meats. Other products include bread, dairy products, vegetables, juices, wines  and many more.

Beautiful spots so close to home!

From the south in all directions - numerous comfortable excursion destinations!

Discover, experience, get to know and love new things. A unique blend of culture and nature, tradition and modernity.

Visit our provincial seat of Bolzano, ÖTZI the 5000-year-old iceman, the earth pyramids at Ritten, the Dolomites UNESCO World Heritage, GEOPARC Bletterbach in the Monte Corno Nature Park, Haderburg Castle on the German/Italian linguistic border, or Merano’s Gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle following in the footsteps of Empress Elisabeth of Austria and Hungary. Day trips into the Dolomites UNESCO World Heritage site with its clear Lake Carezza, to Lake Garda, Verona or Venice are well recommended.  Motorcycle tours – from our campground to the most popular Alpine passes.
